That is how many post-secondary options now exist in the US according to the Credential Engine annual count that just came out. That is a stunning number.
I love that we are finding innovative ways to unbundle and create more pathways.
However, we need better methods to help individuals and their families make choices and understand where high-value opportunities exist.
As a parent and an ed tech professional, I find myself relying on reputation of partners, outcomes data (where it exists), and skill areas - but often even that simple information is hard to access. I am hopeful that new outcome-focused initiatives can help bridge this gap for us as the options continue to multiply.
